Welcome to my weekly Pilates workout.
Every Wednesday I share with you a new 10 / 15 minute workout you can do from home. These workouts are mainly mat based so require no equipment and can easily be done from home or your office.

I love resistance bands I think they are a super piece of kit that you should add to your home workouts to really improve muscle strength and tone. Today I want to show you how to use the resistance band in the clam side lying exercise. This is a difficult exercise so if you are new to Pilates maybe try it without the band to start with.
Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. My Pilates classes focus around the seven key principles of Pilates, Breathing, Alignment, Stamina, Relaxation, Centering, Concentration and Flow.
Pilates focuses on the mind-body connection which we find through using the breath. While doing the various exercises your mind needs to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way your body moves.
