Today I wanted to share with you a brilliant corrective exercise technique for helping correct your posture if you find your shoulders and upper back round forward. This is called excessive thoracic kyphosis and in most cases it happens when the top of your back rounds forward due to the muscles in your back becoming weak and your chest muscles becoming tight.

If you work at a computer for long periods this can contribute to this rounded posture. This massage technique aims to rejuvenate the muscles in the upper back, releasing tension and preparing the muscle for subsequent strength exercises. Regress this exercise immediately if breathing feels restrictive.

Progression: Tilt the pelvis to increase the pressure from the balls. Regression: User a higher pillow to support your head, or use one ball at a time.

If you would like my help to improve your posture I run both online and face to face corrective exercise sessions, to find out more email me on hannah@beyondthestudiopilates.co.uk or visit http://You can find out more here https://beyondthestudiopilates.co.uk/corrective-exercise/
