Pilates is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates, after whom it was named. Pilates called his method “Contrology”.
I run two different types of Pilates classes normal matwork classes which focus on good posture and building strength from your deep abdominal ‘core’ muscles outwards and FLOW Pilates which is a higher intensity workout where you will feel the benefits of a normal class as well as improving your aerobic capacity and endurance. FLOW classes have less rest and the moves used are harder, a good knowledge of understating and base line fitness is needed to attend these classes get in touch if you are unsure.
