Meet Hannah: Pilates Instructor, Cyclist, and Creator of Velo Core

Hannah is a passionate Pilates instructor, corrective exercise specialist, and strength and conditioning coach-in-training. With a deep love for biomechanics and the great outdoors, she has found her true calling in helping others achieve their fitness goals, especially cyclists.

From Marketing to Movement

Hannah’s journey began in the corporate world, where she worked in marketing for various industries. Despite meeting wonderful people, she always felt there was something more meaningful waiting for her. This desire for purpose led her to pursue her true passion: helping others through movement and fitness.

Beyond the Mud

In 2012, inspired by the Olympics at Hadleigh, Hannah founded @beyondthemud (formerly Pedal to Pedal). This initiative started as a local mountain biking club for kids and has since expanded to include adult cyclists. As a mountain bike coach and guide, Hannah shares her expertise and love for the sport with riders of all ages.

Elite Cyclist and Endurance Athlete

Hannah’s cycling experience is extensive and impressive:

  • Competed at the elite level in XC mountain biking
  • Transitioned to stage racing and 12/24-hour solo events
  • Gained valuable insights from coaches, nutritionists, and fellow cyclists

Family Adventures

Now a mum, Hannah continues to pursue her passion for cycling alongside her husband Emyr, also an avid mountain biker. Together with their daughter, they embark on exciting biking adventures whenever possible.

Introducing Velo Core

Hannah’s latest project, Velo Core, is an innovative all-in-one app designed to help cyclists build stronger, more resilient bodies. By focusing on off-bike training, Velo Core aims to create better-balanced and more capable riders.
