Remedial Pilates is a specialised form of Pilates that focuses on addressing specific physical issues, injuries, or imbalances in the body. It is similar to Clinical Pilates and corrective exercise in its approach and benefits.
What to expect from Remedial Pilates:
→ Individualised approach: Remedial Pilates is tailored to your specific needs, based on a thorough assessment of your alignment and movement patterns. This assessment is usually done in person either at my studio or your home but can also be done online, although is more effective in person.
→ Therapeutic focus: The exercises are designed to target and correct particular musculoskeletal dysfunctions, improve posture, and alleviate pain. My goal is to get you back to the things you love through targeted exercise planning.
→ Rehabilitation tool: I often use remedial Pilates alongside corrective exercise as a rehabilitation program for sports injuries or chronic conditions, helping to restore proper movement patterns and strength.
→ One-on-one sessions: My corrective exercise and remedial Pilates training is always on a one to one basis as well as one to one sessions we shall have regular catch ups and all your exercises are delivered via videos in an app.
→ Corrective exercise principles: I combine traditional Pilates exercises with corrective exercise processes to create a program that looks to address muscle imbalances and getting you moving with comfort and ease.
→ Progressive approach: As my clients improves, the exercises are gradually modified to challenge them further and continue their progress towards their rehabilitation goals.
Remedial Pilates is particularly beneficial for those recovering from sports injuries, managing chronic pain conditions, or seeking to improve their overall physical function and well-being under professional guidance.
